Lotta Heiskanen, Certified FIT Trainer
Lotta Heiskanen works as a development manager at Komppi, Helsinki, Finland. Komppi is one of the largest companies in Finland offering evidence-based services for mental well-being. Lotta is a psychologist (Lic. A. Psych., specialist degree in psychotherapy), licensed psychotherapist and psychotherapy trainer in integrative psychotherapy. She offers training, consultation, supervision and helps implementing FIT in several organizations.
Ingrid Van Den Berg, Certified FIT Trainer
Ingrid is a clinical psychologist-psychotherapist working with youth in the Netherlands. Ingrid is experienced in implementing FIT in child and adolescent psychiatry. Her primary goal is getting people involved in the progress of treatment, reflection about this progress, and the practitioner’s ability to use feedback.
Bob Bertolino, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Rehabilitation Counseling at Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri. He is also Sr. Clinical Advisor at Youth In Need, Inc. Bob has taught over 400 workshops throughout the United States and internationally. He has authored or co-authored 13 books including Strengths-Based Engagement and Practice: Creating Effective Helping Relationships, and The Therapists Notebook on Positive Psychology, and Thriving on the Front Lines: Strengths-Based Youth Care Work. Bob is licensed as a marital and family therapist and professional counselor in the state of Missouri, is a National Certified Counselor, a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, a National Board Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, and a clinical member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.
Eeuwe Schuckard is a Psychologist currently working for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in Porirua, New Zealand. This public service offers multidisciplinary assessment and intervention for children and adolescents experiencing mental health difficulties. Eeuwe started his practice after completing the Child and Family Psychology programme at Canterbury University in 2009. In 2012, Eeuwe completed both the Advanced FIT and Training of Trainers courses and, with the assistance of other CAMHS clinicians, set up formalised outcome management at the service. Gathering outcome data is now routine and many clinicians have sufficient data to estimate their relative effectiveness. There are also ongoing efforts to improve and tailor services using client feedback.
With 18 years of experience in a wide variety of settings and the last 10 years working directly with military members and their families, Alan has developed a fierce advocacy for the central role of the client’s voice in decisions regarding ongoing clinical work. He has utilized client-directed, outcome informed processes to enhance outcomes and meet clients’ needs in challenging settings. Specific work has focused on introducing and expanding the practice of priviledging the client’s voice in treatment decisions in schools and in military behavioral health systems. Alan has presented at international conferences regarding the use of client ratings of outcome and alliance feedback to inform therapist decision-making while being grounded in APA’s definition of evidenced-based practice.
Rob Axsen (B.A. Hon.): With over 40 years experience in the helping field, Rob has worked in corrections, youth, mental health and addictions programs. Rob has over 35 years experience as a clinical supervisor and consultant, and brings a strong emphasis on working collaboratively with clients. He was also an accomplished trainer in private practice and at the Justice Institute of British Columbia, most notably in the areas of assessment, understanding change processes, Health Behavior Change Counselling, Motivational Interviewing and Feedback-Informed Treatment practices. Working within Vancouver Coastal Health Authority, Rob was Co-Clinical Lead for the implementation of FIT practice – his focus was primarily inner-city applications. He currently works as an Addictions Clinical Supervisor for Pacific Community Resources Society, operating within Fraser Health Authority. Rob has conducted training sessions throughout Western Canada, at National and International Conferences, and is known for his ability to offer practice-oriented information in an experiential format, encouraging training participants to quickly integrate new material into their current practice. Rob is a Past Senior Associate and Certified Trainer in the International Centre for Clinical Excellence’s Feedback-Informed Treatment (FIT) Practice Model and is currently a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT), an international organization.

Bill is a couple and family counselor with over twenty five years of experience in both private practice and organizational settings in Australia and England. Bill became a certified CDOI trainer in 2008 and is a manager and senior supervisor with Relationships, Australia in Mandurah, Western Australia. He has published articles on CDOI practice and has special interests in couples therapy, work with mandates clients, and clinical supervision.
Robbie Babins-Wagner, MSW, PhD (C) is an AAMFT Approved Supervisor with over 31 years experience as a therapist and clinical supervisor having worked in the Health, Mental Health and Nonprofit sectors in Canada. Robbie has taught in the Faculty of Social Work, University of Calgary since 1982. She is currently the CEO of Calgary Counselling Centre, the largest community based provider of counselling services in Calgary, where she implemented CDOI / FIT practice. Robbie has spearheaded the development of the Calgary Centre for Counselling Research in partnership with the Faculty of Social Work, University of Calgary, which will explore and develop ways to encourage a closer integration of counselling education, research and practice. With a passion for training clinicians, Robbie has presented at conferences and workshops, locally, provincially, nationally and internationally. In 2006, the Calgary Herald named Robbie as one of Calgary’s new pioneers who will shape our future.

Leslie is a licensed clinical social worker with a background in criminal justice. She works with offender and high-risk populations and serves as a treatment supervisor at in a sexual offender treatment program for civilly committed adult males. She has been using FIT since 2012.

Kerstin Öqvist is a social worker. She has primarily worked with teenagers with risk behavior and their families at Maria Ungdom in Stockholm where she has been involved in implementing Feedback Informed Treatment (FIT). She is presently a consultant at local social services, assigned to different municipalities. David Prescott, ICCE Certified Trainer
David Prescott serves as Director of Professional Development and as a Clinical Director for the Becket Family of Services in Northern New England. He has produced 14 book projects and numerous articles and chapters in the areas of assessing and treating sexual violence and trauma. He is also the lead editor for the upcoming book, Feedback-Informed Treatment in Clinical Practice: Reaching for Excellence, in press with the American Psychological Association Press. Mr. Prescott is a past president of the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers, the largest professional organization of its kind in the world. He is also the 2014 recipient of that organization’s Distinguished Contribution award, one of only a handful of recipients. He has lectured and consulted to programs around the world, including serves on the editorial boards of three journals, including Motivational Interviewing: Training, Research, Implementation, and Practice, as well as Sexual Abuse: A Journal of Research and Treatment and the Journal of Sexual Aggression.

Daniel L. Bogdan Cezar Ion, Certified FIT Trainer
Bogdan Cezar Ion, PHD, is a clinical psychologist, a clinical supervisor and a trainer in psychotherapy. He is trained and certified in a couple of clinical methods including Brief Therapies (SFBT, Collaborative and Narrative Approaches, Strategic Therapy), CBT and Clinical Hypnosis, but his main focus is beyond models in promoting practice based evidence and supporting documented professional improvement. Von F. Borg, MS, LPCC, LADC is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor with Board Approved Supervisor status with more than twenty years of experience in the counseling field. Von has worked since 1997 as a therapist and clinical supervisor providing prevention, education, and counseling services to adolescents and their families of US service members stationed in Germany. Since 2004, Von has been part of the leading edge in behavioral health research and practice, using CDOI/FIT for tracking effectiveness in his work with adolescents and with those he supervises. Following a former career as a dentist, Bill trained as a human givens therapist, graduating in 2004. He is also an accredited Human Givens supervisor. He completed his MSc in psychological trauma at University of Chester in 2013.
For the last 10 years, Bill has championed the role that client feedback has to play in assisting practitioners of all persuasions to understand the client perspective more clearly. In addition to his therapy practice, he works as a consultant and supervisor in relation to outcome informed practice. A senior associate with ICCE, Bill has published several articles about using feedback in treatment and has lectured internationally on the subject.

Marlene is a clinical psychologist working therapeutically with families in a public agency in Copenhagen. She also teaches, supervises and is in charge of FIT implementation processes and trainings in different professional services. Christopher Schmitz, Certified FIT Trainer
Christopher is the owner of Komphash – Navigation i hashmisbrug! and is a specialist in treatment of cannabis addiction. He has written a book about parents coaching “Forælder Til hashryger”, for parents who have children with cannabis addiction. Besides teaching professionals on how to approach children with cannabis addiction, he is the initiator and coordinator of Netværk af Danske Cannabis Behandlere, a national network of Danish cannabis addiction counselors. He is also responsible for the Danish HAP-education together with founder of the HAP-treatment approach Thomas Lundqvist. Christopher uses Feedback Informed Treatment in his setting of addiction treatment and is a FIT-supervisor for addiction counselors.
Bruno Vinther, Certified FIT Trainer
Bruno is a trainer psychologist working in a family therapy center in Denmark as well as in private practice. He has extensive experience working with FIT in a variety of settings and with a variety of populations. Bruno currently works with families, adults, group therapy, couples therapy, families and individuals. He is also a FIT-teacher and FIT-supervisor, as well as workshop organizer.

Erika is grateful for having the good fortune of being introduced to FIT at the start of her clinical career, and now has 11 years of experience using FIT. More recently, she has facilitated workshops to agencies integrating FIT into their settings. Ulla Qwist works with adolescents and young adults (age 16-30 years) experiencing mental illness including emotional instability, personal disorder, anxiety, depression and eating disorders. Ulla has been using FIT since 2011 and has been implementing FIT over the last years in the organisation where she works. René has been using FIT since 2011 and implemented FIT in a social psychiatry organization where he worked until recently. Currently, he is working as head of a Child and Family treatment agency that offers testing, assistance, counselling and therapy and is integrating FIT as part of his work there. Linette a Registered Social Worker, from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. As Program Manager of the Community Services Counselling Program at the Calgary Women’s Emergency Shelter, Linette is responsible for the operations of the Community Services Counselling Program ( Community Services Counsellors, Children’s Outreach Counsellor and Court Case Coordinators) which offers services for clients living with family violence and abuse out in the community.

Brooke Mathewes, Certified FIT Trainer
Brooke is both a Registered Clinical Counselor and a Canadian Certified counselor. Her primary focus is working with problematic substance use, gambling, and mental health. She also works in the field of psychosocial oncology, counselling patients and their families going through cancer treatment. Feedback Informed Treatment has been guiding her practice since 2011 and she continues her FIT development by acting as a consultant to other clinicians also using FIT with various populations.
Irene Bendtsen, Certified FIT Trainer
Irene has been using FIT since 2011 and implemented FIT in several organizations within the area of psychosocial and vocational rehabilitation. She has been head of 3 mental health organizations in various municipalities around Copenhagen. Currently she is head of Center of Psychosocial Rehabilitation in Sorø, which offers halfway houses, social support, psychosocial and vocational rehabilitation programs and counselling to people with mental health problems.
Irene has received training at DISPUK and is one of the founders and previous boardmembers of The Danish Society of Psychosocial Rehabilitation. She is currently integrating FIT in Sorø municipality as part of a larger organizational change.
Trine Uhrskov, Certified FIT Trainer
Trine is a psychologist and co-owner of a private consultancy firm. Trine mainly works with adults with cognitive disabilities or mental health issues and challenging behavior. Trine teaches and supervises staff on citizen participation in order to prevent the use of force, and she counsels the Danish National Board of Social Services about citizens with particularly complex issues. Bjarne Richter Bjelke, Certified FIT Trainer
Bjarne is an anthropologist who is working with method (what works), user involvement, empowerment and professional development in the field of social services and disability in Denmark. As such he is introducing FIT in various dialogues, settings and agencies, working with practitioners, municipalities (local government) and the National Board of Social Services in Denmark. As an anthropologist, he is particularly interested in the perspectives of FIT becoming a structurally significant “tool” for systematic user involvement and co-creation. Also, what matters to Bjarne is to transmit and communicate why and how it is that FIT fits in our current welfare context.

Heidi Nygård-Michelsson, Certified FIT Trainer
Heidi is a social psychologist who has been working since 2004 with youth, young adults and families suffering from mental illness and social difficulties at HelsinkiMissio, a non-governmental organization for social services. She has eagerly been learning about FIT since 2014 and is currently working with the implementation of FIT, providing training and supervision as well for her own agency as for other organizations in Finland.

Else Brunvand, ICCE Certified Trainer
Else is a clinical psychologist working therapeutically with children, adolescent and adults in her private clinic in Aarhus. She also teaches, supervises and works with FIT implementation processes and training. Else is particularly interested in how to establish and keep an ongoing deliberate practice alive and how to engage both professionals and clients in this process. Else is Norwegian and can therefore teach both in Norway and Denmark.

Chantal is the Supervisor of Quality Assurance and Community Planning at Valoris for Children and Adults of Prescott-Russell, Ontario. Coming from a clinical background, she has led FIT implementation and is the primary trainer for FIT practice within the agency since 2011.
Jim Walt, ICCE Emeritus
Jim Walt, MA, MFT, was licensed as a California Marriage and Family Therapist in 1982. He was President of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists in 1993-1994. Jim retired as a full Professor from John F. Kennedy University in 2007, having taught there since 1990. Using on-site training and web-conferencing technologies, Jim trained and supervised, specializing in Feedback Informed Treatment, Professional Outcomes and Accountabilities, Ethics and the Law, and Brief Therapies. He was a Certified Trainer and Consultant with the International Center for Clinical Excellence. Jim highlighted research and methods that enabled private practice and agency setting practitioners to improve their effectiveness while also reducing professional burnout.
Reg Fleming, ICCE Emeritus
Reg Fleming is a Clinical Coordinator in the substance use field on Vancouver Island. He has was an early adopter of Feedback Informed Treatment and a long-time member of the ICCE. Reg continues to promote the use of FIT within his role as a clinical supervisor and in his private practice.

Niklas is a licenced social worker and has been working in treatment with families, teenagers, substance abuse and multiple diagnoses for more than 30 years, 17 of which were spent as director of Älgeredskollektivet, a small high quality residential care home. David Low, Certified FIT Trainer
David Low is a Senior Psychotherapist and Faculty member at the Family Institute of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is a Licensed Couple and Family Therapist and AAMFT Clinical Fellow and Approved Supervisor. He worked 14 years within Child, Adolescent and Mental Services (CAMHS) in England as a Systemic Family Therapist and Supervisor. Ten of those years in the UK he was a Clinical Team Supervisor/Manager. David helped developed guidance manuals and training videos on the use of FIT with young people and families within the National Health Service in UK.
Rikke Addis, Certified FIT Trainer
Rikke Addis currently works as an evaluation consultant in California focusing on helping behavioral health organizations improve their services. Prior to this, Rikke provided research and quality improvement services to children’s mental health organizations. Rikke has a background in cultural anthropology with a focus on social suffering among at-risk youth. Rikke was born in Denmark and immigrated to the US at the age of 21.

Morten Halberg Is authorized psychologist working at Helsingung, a drug treatment facility for youth and families, in Elsinore, Denmark. Mark Crouzen, Certified FIT Trainer
Mark Crouzen is a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist with 30 years of experience. He is presently working in a hospital in Utrecht, the Netherlands. He likes feedback and has been using monitoring for over 20 years. Mark is interested in what the client wants, his/her resources, theories and strengths. He started as behaviour therapist, worked as a solution focused therapist later on and is particularly interested in implementing Feedback Informed Treatment (FIT) in several forms of psychotherapy. Rint de Jong
Rint works as a Clinical Psychologist and (family) Psychotherapist at Karakter, centre for Child- and adolescent Psychiatry in the Netherlands. Rint believes FIT offers the opportunity for the therapist to see himself in the mirror of the client and in turn the client sees himself mirrored by the therapist. Rint has worked with FIT since 2014. As a researcher he published an RCT study about the effect of FIT on treatment-outcome (symptom-severity and quality of life) in a child psychiatry sample.

Jason Seidel is a psychologist and director of The Colorado Center for Clinical Excellence, a Denver-based practice devoted to feedback-informed psychotherapy and research. He served as research director (from 2009 to 2019) for the ICCE.
